My Philosophy
Teaching is such a rewarding career, as teachers we can shape students into life longer learners. As a teacher I believe that it is essential to build relationships with my students to help in guiding them through their childhood and adolescence. No two students are the same. They each come through our classroom doors with their own unique set of strengths, challenges, and goals. I believe that it is my responsibility as an educator to help them see their strengths, support them in overcoming their challenges, and inspire them to reach their goals. As an educator who specializes in music, I believe that I have a unique opportunity to connect with my students and build relationships with them through the music making process. It is my personal goal to foster a love and passion for music in my students with the hope that they will become lifelong musicians and continue being engaged in music for life. I firmly believe in making music accessible to all and providing students with a strong musical foundation which will serve them well, no matter where life takes them.
